Making of 'Jericcho Dungeon'

This blog post has been written by Elder Prince, Creator of Eternal Eden.

I hope you’re all having a fantastic 2023 so far. Many thanks to the followers who have subscribed to the Mandela Edition alert newsletter. You’ll be the first ones to receive the download url of the game once it’s ready.

Last week, I had to double my food delivery work schedule with DoorDash to be able to pay urgent bills, so I couldn’t work as many hours as I intended to on the game. Despite this, I managed to finish beta-testing the Jericcho dungeon, which was one of the longest dungeons in the old game.

JERICCHO TOMB, WHAT’S NEW?

This version of Jericcho Tomb is much more elaborate. Each floor is superimposed together and requires you to jump down from floor to floor, trying to resolve a global puzzle for the whole building. You’ll also have the opportunity to collect a new exploration-driven ability that wasn’t featured in the 2008 version.

MORE TRADERS

I should mention there are more traders scattered throughout the world. In the 2008 version, there was only 1 trading opportunity for the entire game, which sucked and made the loot system somewhat lackluster. That horrible flaw was due to the fact I had to hurry the game for its official release date. Thus collecting loots will be more relevant in this Mandela Edition because you’ll be able to trade them for special items, weapons or magic spells.

I’m currently in the process of beta-testing Gaia Temple. I plan to reduce my DoorDash work schedule during next week in an attempt to beta-test at least four more dungeons.

Next, I’ll want to share a bit more about extra DLC addons that I planned for this Mandela Edition. I’m also working on an official strategy guide.
